Facebook Wall Spamming – Douchebag Marketing 101

I could not have planned this any better if I tried!  Great timing, Steve you walked RIGHT INTO this one!

Crazy part is I actually didn’t ask Steve to do this, his timing was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I’ll preface that I like Steve – I’ve met him a couple of times at local Chicago Social Media events and seems like a like-minded entrepreneur I’d like to know better.

I don’t think of Steve as a douche – I like him, I actually find his timing today comically amusing! This technique of using my personal expression board for your marketing billboard – borderline offensive. I’ve not even heard of someone taking things to this level before, and the timing with the “Douchebag Marketing” blog damn near serendipitous. Crazy, huh?

I’m NOT a big facebook user, I’ll be the first to admit it – I just don’t have time to login there – I prefer to use Twitter, Oovoo, SMS and Email to communicate – yet I enjoy my friends on facebook when I can pop in there.

On my way to pull up a snapshot of Andy Nathan’s 9 invites to his appropriately named “No More Friends Event” The narcissist in me clicked on my own profile to find a less than lovely invitation from Steve Sipress for what actually sounds like a rather nice and free seminar about motivation for entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, the delivery was less than admirable…

Like a delicious steak delivered while I’m on the toilet – THE DELIVERY STINKS!

I noticed Les Brown is speaking – I’ve read one of his books and enjoyed a few hours chatting together in First Class on an AA flight about 5 years ago coming back from Costa Rica – I digress, but would enjoy seeing and speaking with him again, anytime…
